About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer with 8+ years of experience building and supporting enterprise applications using modern Microsoft technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions using .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and SQL technologies.
In this role, you will:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using .NET 10, C# 14, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and defect resolution across environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, production deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you need to have to be considered:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience developing applications with .NET technologies.
- Strong expertise in .NET Core/.NET 10, C# 14, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience building and supporting enterprise-scale applications and services.
- Strong SQL and relational database development experience, along with source control tools such as Git.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and experience working in Agile/SDLC environments.
These will help you stand out:.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and deployment automation.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and application security standards.
- Microsoft certifications related to .NET, Azure, or cloud technologies.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $82,000 to $93,500 per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
