About the Role
Cognizant Consulting is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence & Systems Engineer to drive enterprise reporting, analytics delivery, and production support initiatives for large-scale business and technology transformation programs. This role requires a seasoned delivery leader with deep expertise in Business Intelligence architecture, Agile/SAFe execution, production support management, and stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise analytics and reporting solutions, oversee production support operations, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise Business Intelligence and reporting initiatives, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and strategic objectives.
- Own end-to-end project delivery including requirements gathering, estimation, solution architecture, development, testing, deployment, change management, and post-production stabilization.
- Facilitate Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, PI planning, and ART coordination.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, developers, QA teams, security teams, operations teams, and external vendors to drive successful outcomes.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations across multiple workstreams.
- Maintain RAID logs, delivery metrics, release readiness indicators, and executive status reporting using Jira, Jira Align, and related tools.
- Drive vulnerability remediation, governance compliance, audit readiness, and change control processes.
- Oversee production support operations, including incident triage, root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Architect and deliver scalable Business Intelligence solutions leveraging platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and SAP Business Objects.
- Validate and optimize data solutions using advanced SQL and performance tuning techniques.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting capabilities, operational efficiency, system reliability, and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in Business Intelligence architecture, systems engineering, analytics delivery, or related technology leadership roles.
- Deep hands-on experience with Business Intelligence platforms including Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SAP Business Objects, or similar technologies.
- Strong experience with data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and enterprise reporting ecosystems.
- Experience working with ETL technologies such as Informatica, SAP Data Services, or comparable platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, NoSQL, and other enterprise database technologies.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL expertise for data validation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience leading Agile delivery teams within a SAFe framework.
- Proven experience managing production support environments, incident management processes, root cause analysis, and service-level commitments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Consulting experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing complex delivery programs within highly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in release management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographic locations.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified SAFe® Agilist (SA) certification.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification.
- Relevant Business Intelligence or cloud technology certifications.
Work Model
Hybrid: This position follows a hybrid work model requiring associates to work from the office or client site approximately 2-3 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week, subject to business and client requirements.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is expected to be between $130,000 - $149,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
In addition to base salary, associates may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and participation in Cognizant's benefit programs, subject to plan terms and company policies.
