Job Summary

Serve as a technical lead for hybrid delivery of cloud native web applications using AWS React TypeScript Node JS and Java Springboot ensuring high quality engineering practices for a day shift role with no travel. Collaborate across teams to design secure scalable solutions and contribute domain insight in auto claims and property and casualty insurance.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end to end cloud native applications on AWS using services that support scalable resilient and secure enterprise solutions for business critical functions in insurance
  • Develop rich responsive user interfaces with React and TypeScript that provide accessible intuitive and high performing user experiences for internal and external stakeholders
  • Engineer robust backend services with Node JS that expose well structured APIs and support reliable integrations with internal platforms and external partners in the insurance ecosystem
  • Build and maintain Java Springboot microservices that enable modular deployment clear service boundaries and efficient data processing for transactional and analytical workloads
  • Optimize application performance by profiling services tuning queries refining front end rendering strategies and addressing bottlenecks that affect latency throughput and user responsiveness
  • Apply secure coding practices across the stack by validating input protecting sensitive data managing secrets through AWS services and aligning with internal compliance guidelines
  • Collaborate with product managers business analysts and quality engineers to refine user stories define acceptance criteria and deliver increments that clearly align with customer outcomes
  • Guide the selection and configuration of AWS infrastructure components such as compute storage networking and managed services to balance cost reliability and performance objectives
  • Implement automated testing strategies covering unit integration and end to end scenarios to improve regression detection and support confident frequent releases to production environments
  • Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines by configuring build jobs test execution quality gates and deployment workflows that enhance delivery speed and stability
  • Document solution designs technical decisions and operational runbooks in a clear organized manner so that support teams and future engineers can maintain and extend the platform efficiently
  • Engage with stakeholders in auto claims and property and casualty insurance to translate domain requirements into technical designs that improve claims handling underwriting and policy servicing
  • Provide mentoring and code review support to peers by sharing best practices in React TypeScript Node JS Java Springboot and AWS while fostering an inclusive and collaborative engineering culture


Qualifications

  • Possess six to ten years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on building and scaling distributed web applications for complex business domains
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript including state management patterns reusable component design and integration with backend APIs for dynamic data driven interfaces
  • Exhibit strong hands on experience in Node JS and Java Springboot for building RESTful services integrating with databases and implementing domain logic with attention to maintainability and testability
  • Show proven capability with AWS core services for compute storage networking monitoring and security along with practical exposure to infrastructure as code and cloud cost awareness
  • Bring practical understanding of auto claims and property and casualty insurance processes as a desirable asset enabling more effective collaboration with domain experts and product stakeholders
  • Communicate clearly in hybrid work settings by using collaboration tools structured updates and inclusive discussions to keep distributed team members aligned and productive in day shift operations
  • Display a continuous learning mindset by staying current with updates in AWS React TypeScript Node JS and Java Springboot and by applying new techniques that improve quality reliability and user value


Certifications Required

AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate preferred
