We are looking for an experienced Guidewire QA Lead/Manager to join our QEA team to support testing initiatives across functional, regression, and integration testing activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Guidewire testing and a strong Property and Casualty Insurance background. You will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex Guidewire programmes across the insurance lifecycle. This role combines end‑to‑end testing leadership with broader delivery oversight, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third‑party vendors to ensure high‑quality, predictable outcomes.
In this role, you will
- Own and drive the end‑to‑end testing strategy across Guidewire implementations, including functional, integration, UAT, non‑functional, and regression testing. Lead test planning, design, execution, defect management, and reporting across multiple delivery phases. Ensure alignment of testing activities with programme milestones, delivery plans, and release schedules.
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for Guidewire applications.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with Offshore, Onshore, and other stakeholders to complete the deliverables.
- Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Engage with business stakeholders to ensure testing and delivery priorities align with business outcomes.
- Act as a key interface with Guidewire and other vendors, ensuring responsibilities and support boundaries are clearly defined. Build trusted relationships with client teams through clarity, transparency, and delivery judgement.
Required skills
- Overall,10-15 years of IT experienced focussed on QA in P&C insurance domain and Guidewire testing.
- Must have strong experience leading testing and quality assurance on large‑scale Guidewire implementations.
- Must have 5+ years of hands‑on knowledge of Guidewire Claim Center, Policy Center and Billing Center.
- Must have experience delivering complex insurance transformations in Personal, Commercial, or Specialty Lines with a proven ability to manage end‑to‑end testing lifecycle within agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models.
- Strong understanding of delivery risk, governance, and quality management within large programmes contributing too excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Good hands-on experience on Test Case design, Test Execution, Test Planning, Defect Logging, and tracking.
- Experience in integration testing along with upstream and downstream systems integrated with Guidewire.
- Good API testing experience using tools like SoapUI, Postman, etc.
Preferred skills
- Preferred to have Guidewire certification completed.
- Preferred to have hands on automation knowledge, BDD Cucumber.
- Working experience in offshore / onshore delivery model.

Total compensation:
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 85,000 – 110,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
