Job Summary

Lead Quality Engineer role focused on designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks and quality practices for complex enterprise applications using Java Selenium TestNG Cucumber and RestAssured. The role emphasizes assurance of reliable AI Code Assist Tool usage and context engineering techniques to deliver high quality customer centric solutions in a hybrid work model for a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive end to end quality engineering strategies by designing scalable automated test suites using Java Selenium TestNG Cucumber and RestAssured to ensure predictable and reliable software releases in a hybrid work environment.
• Execute comprehensive functional regression and integration testing cycles by leveraging robust automation frameworks to reduce defects in production and improve overall customer satisfaction for enterprise platforms.
• Implement AI Code Assist Tool capabilities within test automation workflows to enhance code quality increase development speed and maintain consistent test standards across distributed project teams.
• Apply context engineering practices to design meaningful test scenarios and data sets that accurately represent real world usage patterns and business rules in Life and Annuities Insurance when applicable.
• Collaborate closely with developers business analysts and product owners to refine acceptance criteria clarify requirements and translate them into detailed automated and manual test cases that enhance transparency of quality expectations.
• Optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines by integrating automation suites into build processes to provide rapid feedback on code changes and minimize risk of quality regressions.
• Monitor and analyze test execution results defect trends and reliability metrics to identify quality gaps prioritize remediation activities and communicate clear status updates to stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain reusable page object models utilities and test data management approaches that increase automation maintainability and reduce effort for future enhancements and project onboarding.
• Mentor quality engineering team members by sharing best practices in coding standards test design techniques and usage of tools such as Selenium TestNG and Cucumber to build a strong collaborative quality culture.
• Coordinate with environment and operations teams to ensure stable test environments data readiness and configuration management which supports efficient day shift execution without travel requirements.
• Document test approaches automation frameworks and quality processes comprehensively to support audit readiness knowledge transfer and consistent adherence to organizational quality guidelines.
• Engage with cross functional teams to evaluate potential quality risks related to new features or integrations and propose targeted mitigation testing strategies that safeguard business continuity and customer trust.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by assessing new tools methods and metrics especially in AI assisted development and testing to align quality engineering practices with evolving enterprise technology goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java programming and object oriented design concepts with the ability to write clean modular and maintainable automation code for complex test scenarios.
• Possess hands on experience using Selenium TestNG and Cucumber to build robust UI and behavior driven testing frameworks that support reuse parameterization and clear reporting for large scale applications.
• Show practical expertise with RestAssured for API testing including validation of response structures authentication flows error handling and performance related checks for key services.
• Apply effective context engineering skills to design test data models coverage matrices and scenario outlines that capture nuanced business rules and life and annuities policy flows when domain exposure is present.
• Utilize AI Code Assist Tool responsibly to accelerate test script development improve code quality and enforce consistent coding patterns while maintaining human oversight and review of outputs.
• Bring knowledge of Life and Annuities Insurance concepts such as policy lifecycle premium calculations and claims processes as a desirable domain skill that enriches test design and defect analysis.

Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer or equivalent quality engineering credential related to software testing and automation.
