About the Role
As an Consulting Principal – Healthcare Program Manager, you will make an impact by helping clients solve complex business and technology challenges through strategic advisory services, technology modernization initiatives, and enterprise transformation programs. You will be a valued member of the Consulting team and work collaboratively with client executives, business stakeholders, solution architects, delivery leaders, and cross-functional Cognizant teams to drive measurable business outcomes.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead client discovery workshops and executive stakeholder engagements to identify business priorities, technology challenges, and transformation opportunities.
- Develop enterprise technology strategies, modernization roadmaps, and operating model recommendations that align business objectives with technology investments.
- Design and evaluate solution alternatives across enterprise architecture, application modernization, cloud transformation, data platforms, and process optimization initiatives.
- Partner with consulting, architecture, delivery, and operations teams to ensure strategic recommendations are practical, scalable, and aligned with client goals.
- Support business development activities, proposal creation, solution shaping, and executive presentations while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Guide technology transformation initiatives including application rationalization, cloud adoption, operating model redesign, and digital modernization programs.
- Assess governance structures, organizational capabilities, technology processes, and operating models to identify improvement opportunities and drive business value.
- Lead engagement governance, track delivery outcomes, mitigate risks, and ensure successful achievement of program objectives.
- Develop reusable consulting methodologies, frameworks, and intellectual property that strengthen consulting capabilities across the organization.
- Mentor consultants and senior consultants by providing guidance on client engagement, problem solving, communication, and consulting best practices.

What You Must Have to Be Considered
- 12+ years of consulting, technology advisory, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or professional services experience delivering client-facing engagements.
- Demonstrated experience developing IT strategies, transformation roadmaps, target operating models, and technology modernization recommendations for enterprise organizations.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, application modernization, data platforms, integration strategies, and IT operating model design.
- Proven ability to manage executive stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience leading consulting workstreams, facilitating workshops, developing executive-level deliverables, and driving measurable business outcomes.
These Will Help You Succeed
- Master's degree, MBA, or relevant technology and consulting certifications.
- Experience supporting consulting sales pursuits, proposal development, business case creation, and statement of work development.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation, cloud modernization, or digital strategy initiatives.
- Strong executive presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital transformation and IT consulting.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $122,400 and $190,750, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
