Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with expertise in Tosca Data Integrity (DI), ETL Testing, and Data Warehouse Validation to join our Data Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in validating complex data transformation processes, ensuring data integrity across source and target systems, and performing end-to-end testing of enterprise data platforms.
The candidate should possess strong SQL skills, experience working with modern databases and data warehouses, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, and customer teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Testing & Validation
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL, Data Warehouse, and Data Migration projects.
- Perform comprehensive source-to-target data validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Validate business rules, data transformations, mappings, and reconciliation across multiple systems.
- Conduct data quality testing to identify duplicates, missing data, data anomalies, and integrity issues.
- Verify data loads into reporting databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
Tosca Data Integrity (DI)
- Utilize Tricentis Tosca Data Integrity (DI) for automated data validation and reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain reusable Tosca DI test cases and automation assets.
- Perform metadata-based testing and automated reconciliation between source and target systems.
- Analyze validation results and provide detailed defect reports.
SQL & Database Testing
- Create and execute complex SQL queries for data verification and validation.
- Perform backend testing, data reconciliation, aggregation validation, and exception analysis.
- Validate data across relational and cloud-based databases.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies through root cause analysis.

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
