Infra Architect role requiring extensive experience in designing implementing and optimizing mainframe infrastructure with strong focus on zOS administration and healthcare payer ecosystems. Responsibilities
- Design robust and scalable mainframe infrastructure solutions centered on zOS administration to support high volume healthcare payer applications and claims processing systems
- Architect resilient platforms that ensure continuous availability for Medicare and Medicaid claims workflows by optimizing system configurations and resource utilization
- Analyze existing zOS environments to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend targeted improvements that enhance throughput and reduce claim processing latency
- Implement standardized configuration baselines across zOS components to strengthen operational consistency security posture and compliance for payer centric workloads
- Coordinate with application and business teams to translate functional Medicare and Medicaid payer requirements into detailed infrastructure designs aligned with enterprise standards
- Oversee capacity planning and forecasting for zOS infrastructure ensuring adequate resources to handle peak claims volumes and future growth without service disruption
- Drive modernization initiatives within mainframe ecosystems by integrating automation monitoring and tooling that improve operational efficiency and reliability in hybrid work settings

Qualifications
- Demonstrate deep hands on expertise in zOS administration including installation customization performance tuning and system maintenance gained over ten to fourteen years of infrastructure experience
- Possess strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid claims lifecycles and payer operations enabling effective alignment of infrastructure capabilities with healthcare regulatory and business needs
- Apply advanced understanding of mainframe networking storage subsystems and workload management tools to design integrated solutions for mission critical claims platforms
- Utilize experience with hybrid work models and enterprise collaboration tools to coordinate design reviews implementation activities and knowledge sharing across distributed teams
- Exhibit proficiency in monitoring and automation practices for zOS environments using industry standard tools to proactively manage performance availability and incident response
- Show familiarity with healthcare data privacy and compliance frameworks relevant to claims processing enabling creation of infrastructure that supports secure and compliant operations
- Bring experience in capacity planning and performance engineering for high transaction systems ensuring mainframe resources are sized and tuned for sustained claims processing efficiency
