About the role
As an Automation Test Engineer (Selenium/Playwright), you will make an impact by driving end-to-end quality engineering and automation initiatives that ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, developers, business stakeholders, and global delivery teams.
In this role, you will:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites using Selenium, Playwright, and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies covering UI, API, database, batch processing, and end-to-end workflow validation.
• Lead test planning, test execution, defect management, status reporting, release readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to identify quality risks early, improve test coverage, and ensure continuous delivery objectives are achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, automation effectiveness, and engineering best practices across global teams.

What you need to have to be considered
• Strong experience in Quality Engineering and test automation within Agile environments, supporting the full software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on expertise with Selenium and/or Playwright for UI test automation.
• Experience building and maintaining BDD-based automation frameworks using Cucumber or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of API testing, database testing, and end-to-end application validation.
• Experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience leading test planning, execution strategies, and defect management activities.
These will help you stand out
• Experience validating RESTful services through functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Strong Oracle database testing experience including SQL validation and data reconciliation.
• Experience testing batch jobs, file transfers, and downstream system integrations.
• Ability to review work performed by distributed onshore and offshore QA teams.
• Knowledge of modern Quality Engineering practices, test optimization techniques, and automation best practices.
