About the role
As a Junior Visual Designer, you will create compelling visual content that supports global marketing, communications, and brand initiatives across digital, social, web, presentation, email, and print channels. You will be a key member of the Global Design Studio, collaborating with designers, creative leads, strategists, copywriters, marketing teams, and project stakeholders.
You will bring ideas to life while developing your design expertise in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. This is an opportunity for an emerging designer who is passionate about visual storytelling, brand design, and exploring AI-powered creative tools and workflows.
In this role, you will:
- Create high-quality visual assets for digital, social, web, presentations, email campaigns, print, and marketing communications.
- Apply Cognizant brand guidelines consistently and support campaign assets from concept through final execution.
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketers, creative leads, and project stakeholders to develop engaging creative solutions.
- Support image selection, layout design, typography, visual storytelling, and the preparation and optimization of files for digital and print production.
- Use AI-enabled creative tools to support ideation, content generation, and design workflows while maintaining brand quality standards.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and creative reviews, participate in design critiques, and continuously develop creative and technical skills.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What you must have to be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Design, or a related field.
- One to three years of professional design experience, including internship, agency, or in-house creative experience.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design fundamentals, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Understanding of typography, composition, color theory, and layout design.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accept feedback and iterate quickly.
- A strong sense of ownership and a desire to create meaningful outcomes.

These will help you succeed
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and Figma.
- Interest in emerging design technologies, including generative AI tools and creative automation.
- A passion for visual storytelling and brand design.

- The ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until September 24, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
