The AI Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping Cognizant’s AI portfolio by designing high impact AI use cases, building compelling value propositions, and enabling early-stage client engagement. Sitting at the intersection of business design, AI capability, and industry needs, this role transforms opportunity spaces into structured, scalable, commercially strong AI offerings that drive growth for the AI Market Unit.

This role is ideal for a product-minded consultant or solution designer who can blend conceptual thinking, business acumen, and AI literacy to build differentiated offerings that win in the market. In this role, you will:
• Design and develop high-impact AI use cases and scalable offerings aligned to industry demand
• Own conceptual and architectural design for prioritized AI use cases and offerings.
• Translate complex business challenges into structured AI solution blueprints and value propositions
• Build compelling narratives, POVs, and reusable assets that differentiate Cognizant in the market
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to drive discovery, ideation, and early engagement
• Support strategic pursuits by articulating clear value, ROI, and transformation outcomes
Work model
We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. This is a hybrid role into a Cognizant office/client location and some travel expected across EMEA. We support a healthy work-life balance through our wellbeing programs.
What you need to have to be considered
• Significant relevant experience in consulting, solution design, AI/digital strategy, or product/experience
design
• Proven ability to frame business problems and translate them into AI or digital solution architectures
• Strong commercial acumen with experience linking technology solutions to measurable business value
• Experience working with AI platforms, GenAI ecosystems, or advanced analytics use cases
• Demonstrated stakeholder management across sales, consulting, engineering, and business teams
These will help you stand out
• Experience designing or launching AI-led offerings or products in a client-facing environment
• Strong storytelling and executive communication skills
• Familiarity with industry-specific AI applications
• Exposure to value modeling, pricing strategies, and ROI frameworks
• Ability to facilitate client workshops and ideation sessions
