Job Summary
This role focuses on delivering accurate and timely policy servicing for property and casualty insurance operations using MS Office tools in a structured office based night shift environment. The specialist will process endorsements renewals and adjustments while ensuring data integrity compliance with guidelines and clear communication with cross functional stakeholders to support consistent customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Process policy servicing requests such as endorsements renewals and cancellations with high accuracy while maintaining strict adherence to internal guidelines and timelines
- Analyze policy information and supporting documents to validate completeness and correctness before updating records in core systems and shared trackers using MS Office tools
- Maintain detailed logs and status reports in spreadsheets to enable transparent tracking of work in progress and timely escalation of potential issues to relevant stakeholders
- Prepare clear and concise policy summaries confirmation notes and internal memos using word processing tools to support downstream teams and improve operational transparency
- Review incoming service requests in shared mailboxes and workflow queues during night shifts to prioritize tasks based on agreed service levels and business impact
- Collaborate with underwriting claims and operations teams through email and scheduled discussions to clarify policy details and resolve discrepancies that may affect servicing quality
- Utilize spreadsheet formulas and structured templates to perform premium impact checks basic reconciliations and volume analysis that support continuous improvement of policy servicing processes
- Adhere to data privacy requirements and organizational risk controls while handling customer and policy information to protect stakeholder interests and ensure regulatory compliance
- Respond to queries from internal partners in a professional and timely manner by researching policy records reviewing prior transactions and documenting outcomes in shared knowledge repositories
- Support standardization of work instructions by suggesting template improvements checklist enhancements and tracker refinements based on recurring issues observed during night shift processing
- Contribute to team performance by meeting productivity quality and turnaround time targets while remaining flexible to handle peak volumes and new process activities when required
- Participate in training sessions and knowledge sharing huddles to strengthen understanding of property and casualty insurance concepts and apply this knowledge to complex policy servicing tasks
- Provide constructive feedback on system behavior data gaps and process pain points to supervisors so that automation opportunities and workflow refinements can be evaluated
Qualifications
- Demonstrate solid hands on experience in using spreadsheets word processing and presentation tools within MS Office to manage data intensive policy servicing tasks
- Apply familiarity with functions such as data sorting filtering basic formulas and formatting in spreadsheets to ensure policy logs reports and reconciliations are reliable and easy to interpret
- Showcase experience in a back office or operations environment for two to four years where accuracy documentation discipline and adherence to service levels were critical
- Exhibit understanding of core property and casualty insurance concepts such as policy lifecycle endorsements renewals and cancellations gained through prior work or structured training
- Communicate clearly in written and verbal form to collaborate with cross functional teams during night shifts and to document policy decisions in a traceable manner
- Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new systems and standard operating procedures while maintaining high attention to detail in repetitive data and document processing tasks
- Display openness to continuous learning by engaging with domain training material process updates and feedback so that policy servicing quality and efficiency improve over time
Certifications Required
Any MS Office specialist certification or insurance operations certification such as property and casualty operations is preferred
