Job Summary
Serve as a Senior Automation Tester with six to ten years of experience to design, develop, and optimize automated testing solutions using Java, Python, and AWS-based platforms in a hybrid work model. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable data integration and processing systems that support critical cards and payments business capabilities for a global organization.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop robust automated test frameworks and test scripts to validate data ingestion and transformation workflows built using AWS Glue.
• Create scalable and maintainable test automation solutions using Java, ensuring high code quality, reusability, and performance across multiple environments.
• Build Python-based automation components for data validation, reconciliation, and test data preparation to support complex testing scenarios.
• Validate data pipelines and datasets within AWS Datazone to ensure proper data cataloging, discovery, and governance compliance.
• Analyze end-to-end data workflows to identify defects, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks, driving improvements in system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements in cards and payments and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Ensure data quality by implementing automated validation rules, reconciliation checks, and exception-handling verification across systems.
• Apply strong automation design principles, coding standards, and version control practices to ensure scalable and maintainable test suites.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure stable releases and minimise production defects in a day shift environment.
• Develop and maintain detailed test artefacts including test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and execution reports.
• Work closely with cloud operations and security teams to ensure testing aligns with organizational policies including data protection and access control requirements.
• Support release validation, post-deployment testing, and production verification while adhering to change management processes.
• Continuously enhance automation frameworks by adopting modern tools, methodologies, and AWS testing capabilities.
• Mentor and guide team members on best practices in test automation using Java, Python, and cloud-based testing strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to incorporate domain-specific scenarios such as transaction validation, settlements, and reconciliation testing into automation suites.
Qualifications
• Six to ten years of professional experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation testing in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise in developing automated test frameworks using Java (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit or similar).
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for test scripting, data validation, and automation utilities.
• Experience validating data pipelines and ETL processes, preferably in AWS Glue or similar cloud-based platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS Datazone or other data governance/catalog tools for testing data discovery and access controls.
• Strong understanding of API testing, data validation techniques, and backend testing strategies.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and integration of automation suites into DevOps pipelines.
• Knowledge of cards and payments domain (transactions, settlements, reconciliation) is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills to identify and resolve defects efficiently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid and global team environment.Job Summary
