Role: Content Publisher
Location: Bangalore
Exp: 6 to 9 Yrs
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Marketing CMS Content Publisher to manage the end-to-end publishing of GEO-optimized marketing content across the brand's digital properties. This role is responsible for ensuring that every marketing content asset is published with the correct technical metadata, schema configurations, and AI-optimization settings required to achieve maximum visibility in generative AI search environments. You will be the final quality gate before marketing content goes live, owning publishing excellence across the GEO marketing pod.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Publish all approved GEO marketing content assets to the client CMS, applying correct heading structure, internal links, image alt-text, and metadata in line with GEO publishing standards and marketing brand guidelines.
• Apply and validate all required metadata for every published marketing page—including title tags, meta descriptions, Open Graph tags, and canonical URLs—ensuring each asset is correctly indexed and attributed across search and AI engines.
• Execute a structured pre-publish QA review for every marketing content asset, checking formatting consistency, hyperlink validity, schema snippet accuracy, image optimization, and brand guideline compliance before any page goes live.
• Maintain a master marketing publishing tracker logging all live URLs, publish dates, asset owners, schema types, and performance flags, serving as the single operational record for the marketing pod's published content inventory.
• Identify and escalate CMS access issues, platform errors, or workflow bottlenecks that risk delaying marketing publishing SLAs, proposing process improvements to streamline the ticket-to-publish pipeline.
• Coordinate with the marketing content, technical, and creative teams to ensure all assets meet GEO and brand requirements before entering the publishing queue.
• Support marketing campaign launches by coordinating the timely publication of campaign landing pages, product content, and supporting marketing assets in alignment with campaign go-live dates.
• Manage version control and content governance for marketing assets in the CMS, maintaining draft and revision histories and enforcing approval workflows before any marketing content goes live.
• Monitor published marketing pages for indexation errors, crawl issues, or content discrepancies flagged by analytics and technical teams, coordinating rapid resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing publishing workflows, documentation, and CMS best practices to scale the GEO content operation efficiently.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• CMS platform expertise for marketing — hands-on publishing proficiency across WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or equivalent enterprise marketing CMS platforms, with ability to manage custom fields, content types, and metadata schemas.
• Metadata and on-page SEO management for marketing — deep working knowledge of title tag and meta description optimization, Open Graph configuration, canonical URL management, hreflang implementation, and structured data snippet integration at the page level.
• Marketing content QA methodology — ability to execute rigorous pre-publish quality assurance covering copy accuracy, heading hierarchy validation, internal and external link checking, image compression and alt-text compliance, and schema markup verification.
• Workflow and project management tooling for marketing — proficiency in Asana, Jira, Trello, or Notion for managing marketing content publishing pipelines, tracking ticket status from brief to live, and maintaining SLA compliance across high-volume marketing deliverables.
• AI and search content formatting for marketing — understanding of how content formatting choices affect CMS rendering and AI engine retrieval, with ability to apply GEO-specific formatting guidelines consistently across marketing pages.
• Version control and content governance — experience maintaining content changelogs, managing draft and revision histories within marketing CMS environments, and enforcing brand approval workflows.
• Marketing operations awareness — familiarity with how publishing workflows integrate into broader marketing campaign calendars, editorial planning processes, and marketing team approval structures.
