Job Description 2 – ADMS Defect & Vendor Liaison
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced ADMS Defect & Vendor Liaison to support the Kentucky ADMS go-live and post-go-live stabilization activities. This role will serve as the central point of coordination for defect management, vendor engagement, issue resolution, and root cause follow-up across internal teams, business stakeholders, and GE Vernova. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in production issue triage, vendor coordination, and defect lifecycle management within complex utility system environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Defect Lifecycle Management
· Own and coordinate the end-to-end defect lifecycle including logging, prioritization, follow-up, validation, and closure
· Track production and pre-production issues across testing, deployment, and stabilization phases
· Ensure defects are documented clearly with sufficient detail for triage and resolution
· Maintain visibility into defect trends, aging, priorities, and resolution status
2. Vendor Coordination and Escalation Management
· Act as the primary liaison with GE Vernova for issue resolution, support cases, fixes, and release coordination
· Translate vendor responses into actionable internal next steps for business and technical teams
· Escalate critical issues appropriately and drive timely responses during high-impact events
· Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment on defect severity, ownership, and timelines
3. Root Cause Analysis and Resolution Support
· Support investigation of recurring or critical issues to help identify root causes and corrective actions
· Partner with project, vendor, and operations teams to validate fixes and ensure resolution quality
· Capture known issues, workarounds, and lessons learned for support readiness
· Ensure defect outcomes are incorporated into support and operational documentation
4. Go-Live and Incident Response Support
· Provide support coverage during go-live and stabilization for critical incidents, defect triage, and urgent call-outs
· Participate in incident response bridges and help coordinate rapid troubleshooting and communication
· Work closely with business users, support teams, and vendors during high-priority production issues
· Help ensure that high-severity issues are resolved with minimal operational disruption
5. Reporting, Analysis, and Continuous Improvement
· Analyze defect patterns and recurring themes to recommend process or system improvements
· Contribute to comparative insights between Pennsylvania and Kentucky ADMS implementations from a defect and support perspective
· Prepare status summaries, issue trackers, and escalation reporting for leadership and support stakeholders
· Support post-go-live stabilization reviews and readiness improvement actions
Required Skills and Experience
· Strong experience in defect management, incident triage, and vendor coordination within large-scale enterprise or utility environments
· Experience working with ADMS platforms or comparable operational utility systems
· Ability to coordinate across technical teams, business users, and external vendors under time-sensitive conditions
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience supporting root cause analysis
· Excellent communication, escalation management, and stakeholder coordination skills
· Experience supporting go-live events, stabilization, and production issue management
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with GE ADMS / GE Vernova systems
· Utility operations or control room support background
· Prior experience supporting production issues across multiple vendors or implementation partners
· Familiarity with structured defect reporting, escalation processes, and operational support documentation
Compensation: - $100,000 to $170,000 + this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 10/8/2026
