Job Summary:
Test Manager role for a multinational organization focusing on high quality delivery of web services and application programming interface solutions through structured testing practices in a hybrid work model with day shifts. The role requires nine to eleven years of experience and hands on expertise in tools such as Postman and SoapUI along with strong database validation skills using structured query language.
Responsibilities:
Plan and manage end to end testing activities for web services and application programming interface solutions to ensure high quality and reliable releases across hybrid delivery teams.
Design detailed test strategies and test plans for application programming interface testing using Postman SoapUI and related tools to validate both functional and non functional requirements.
Develop comprehensive test cases and reusable test data sets based on service contracts business rules and acceptance criteria to achieve thorough coverage of application programming interface scenarios.
Execute manual and automated tests for application programming interface endpoints and web services using Rest API calls to validate data integrity response codes and error handling behavior.
Create and optimize structured query language scripts to perform backend database verification ensuring that service responses align with expected data transformations and storage rules.
Review specifications user stories and technical designs in collaboration with architects and developers to identify testability gaps risks and dependencies early in the lifecycle.
Coordinate defect triage activities with development product and operations partners by documenting clear defect descriptions impact assessments and reproducible steps.
Establish and monitor testing metrics such as defect density execution progress and coverage to provide transparent status updates and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Guide and support test analysts in applying consistent testing standards reusable patterns and best practices for web services and application programming interface validation.
Collaborate with release and environment teams to plan test cycles manage test data and ensure stable environments that support reliable execution in a hybrid work model.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process bottlenecks recommending tooling enhancements and implementing quality gates that reduce production incidents.
Align testing outcomes with the organization purpose by ensuring digital products and services in travel and hospitality or airlines contexts deliver safe dependable and efficient experiences for end customers.
Ensure compliance with internal quality guidelines and external regulatory expectations by maintaining detailed test evidence traceability and auditable records for all test cycles.
Qualifications:
Possess nine to eleven years of professional experience in testing with a significant focus on managing testing for web services and application programming interface based solutions in complex enterprise environments.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in application programming interface testing with hands on expertise in Postman SoapUI and Rest API validation across multiple integration layers.
Exhibit advanced skills in structured query language including writing complex queries joins and aggregations to validate data flows and backend processes supporting service responses.
Show proven experience in web services testing including validation of request and response structures status codes authentication mechanisms and performance characteristics.
Display familiarity with domains such as new product development in travel and hospitality products and services for travel and hospitality or airlines where service integrations are critical.
Apply effective communication and coordination capabilities to work with distributed teams in a hybrid model ensuring that risks issues and dependencies are clearly articulated and addressed.
Utilize strong analytical and problem solving skills to investigate defects identify root causes and collaborate on preventive measures that uplift overall product quality.
