Job Summary
Application Security Engineer role focused on protecting enterprise grade digital platforms that rely on Sitecore core development and Advent Geneva domain solutions by designing secure configurations for Azure Firewall load balancing and DNS while ensuring robust automated performance testing and stable Oracle application patching in a work from office day shift environment.
Responsibilities
- Design secure network topologies that integrate load balancing Azure Firewall and DNS to protect business critical applications and ensure consistent availability for customers and partners.
- Implement robust application security controls within Sitecore core development projects by embedding secure coding practices and aligning with organizational security standards.
- Perform detailed security reviews of Advent Geneva related workflows and configurations to ensure compliance with internal control requirements and industry regulations.
- Coordinate automated performance test design and execution to validate that security measures and infrastructure changes do not degrade application performance or user experience.
- Plan and execute Oracle application patching cycles by assessing security advisories preparing rollout schedules and validating stability in non production and production environments.
- Collaborate with cross functional engineering and operations teams to analyze security incidents identify root causes and implement sustainable remediation actions.
- Develop reusable configuration patterns and documentation for Azure Firewall rules load balancing policies and DNS settings to promote consistency and reduce operational risk.
- Conduct application security assessments on Sitecore based solutions to detect vulnerabilities and provide clear remediation guidance to development teams.
- Monitor security and performance metrics across Advent Geneva and related platforms to detect anomalies early and trigger timely investigation and response.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize security requirements translate them into technical tasks and track closure to support project timelines.
- Prepare clear technical reports and knowledge articles that explain security changes performance test results and patching impacts for technical and non technical audiences.
- Align daily activities with organizational security policies by following standardized procedures documenting deviations and suggesting improvements where needed.
- Support continuous improvement of security tooling and automation by identifying gaps in current processes and recommending practical enhancements that reduce manual effort.
Qualifications
- Apply academic knowledge in computer science information security or a related discipline to design and maintain secure application and infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrate practical experience with Azure Firewall configuration load balancing technologies and DNS management in enterprise environments.
- Use hands on Sitecore core development experience to integrate security requirements input validation and secure configuration practices into content management solutions.
- Apply automated performance test skills using industry standard tools to validate throughput latency and resilience of critical applications after security or infrastructure changes.
- Utilize experience with Oracle application patching to manage patch analysis environment preparation deployment and post patch verification activities.
- Show strong practical exposure to Advent Geneva domain processes by understanding data flows interfaces and control points that are critical to safeguarding financial information.
- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders by explaining security risks proposed mitigations and operational impacts in a clear and structured manner.
- Maintain awareness of emerging application security threats cloud security trends and vendor guidance that relate to Azure Oracle and web application ecosystems.
- Balance multiple tasks in a day shift work from office environment by organizing work queues aligning with change windows and coordinating with global teams when required.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate and Certified Information Systems Security Professional or equivalent.
