Job Summary
This hybrid role is for a senior developer with seven to ten years of experience who designs and builds data solutions using Snowflake Cortex Code Python Snowflake SQL Snowflake Tasks and Amazon S3. The role focuses on secure data integration automation and analytics that improve decision making for clients and internal teams in a large multinational environment.
Responsibilities
Design and implement robust data solutions using Snowflake Cortex Code and core Snowflake capabilities to support complex analytics and reporting needs in a multinational environment.Develop efficient Python components that orchestrate data workflows and integrate external services with Snowflake to deliver reliable and reusable data products.Configure and optimize Snowflake Tasks to automate recurring data pipelines while ensuring predictable execution monitoring and timely recovery from failures.Engineer secure and efficient data ingestion patterns from Amazon S3 into Snowflake including structured and semi structured data to maintain high quality analytical datasets.Optimize Snowflake SQL queries views and stored logic to improve performance control compute costs and provide responsive data experiences to business stakeholders.Collaborate with data engineers analysts and product teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver solutions that directly support measurable outcomes.Implement strong security and governance practices within Snowflake and Amazon S3 including data access patterns auditability and compliance with company policies and regional regulations.Troubleshoot complex production issues across Snowflake Python components and Amazon S3 integrations while providing clear root cause analysis and preventive improvements.Create and maintain detailed technical documentation that explains data models pipeline logic operational runbooks and environment configurations for ongoing support.Introduce and apply best practices for version control testing and deployment of Snowflake and Python assets to improve stability and repeatability across environments.Collaborate in a hybrid working model using modern collaboration tools to ensure smooth coordination across time zones and functions without requiring travel.Mentor less experienced developers by sharing practical guidance on Snowflake Python and cloud data patterns thereby lifting overall team capability and delivery quality.Continuously evaluate new Snowflake Cortex features and related cloud capabilities to propose improvements that enhance efficiency innovation and value delivered to clients.
Qualifications
Possess seven to ten years of hands on experience in data engineering or advanced analytics development with a strong focus on cloud based data platforms.Demonstrate deep proficiency in Snowflake SQL including complex joins window functions performance tuning and secure data sharing for analytics workloads.Exhibit practical experience with Snowflake Cortex and Snowflake Cortex Code to design intelligent data solutions and automate advanced data processing tasks.Show strong Python programming skills for building orchestration components data transformations utilities and integrations with Snowflake and external services.Apply solid understanding of Amazon S3 concepts including buckets lifecycle rules object security and integration patterns with Snowflake for data ingestion and storage.Utilize experience with Snowflake Tasks streams and other automation features to create resilient observable and maintainable data workflows.Display familiarity with enterprise grade practices such as source control continuous integration continuous delivery testing strategies and monitoring for data solutions.Communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders while working within a hybrid model to align expectations resolve issues and document decisions.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include SnowPro Advanced Architect and AWS Certified Data Analytics or equivalent cloud data engineering credentials.
