About the role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will make an impact by leading business analysis activities across client engagements, driving requirement clarity, and shaping effective ServiceNow-based solutions. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with process consultants, technical teams, QA, and client stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.
In this role, you will:
Lead end-to-end business analysis activities, including gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
Analyze complex business problems and recommend scalable solutions leveraging ServiceNow capabilities.
Develop business cases, assess feasibility, and present solution options including risks, trade-offs, and benefits.
Drive process improvements through root cause analysis, documentation, and optimization of workflows and controls.
Act as a bridge between clients and technical teams, ensuring alignment of deliverables with business needs while mentoring junior analysts.

What you need to have to be considered
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including business process design and improvement
3+ years of experience working on technology-driven projects
Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business case development, and stakeholder management
Required certifications:
ITIL v3 or v4
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ServiceNow Business Process for Implementation
These will help you stand out
Experience with ServiceNow implementations and service management frameworks
Certifications such as Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum, TOGAF, Prosci, or CPDE
Proficiency with analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Visio, UML, BPMN, data mapping, Excel)
Experience supporting demos, test scenarios, and QA collaboration
Strong leadership skills with experience coaching or mentoring Business Analysts

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $114K - $128K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
