About the Role
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will make an impact by driving business and technical requirements across digital transformation initiatives involving Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of the technology delivery team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, development teams, quality assurance teams, product owners, and external partners to deliver innovative business solutions.
In This Role, You Will
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
Serve as the liaison between Business Development, Development, Quality Assurance, and external carrier partners.
Lead requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder discussions, and analysis sessions for complex initiatives.
Create user stories, use cases, process flows, wireframes, and functional specifications to support Agile delivery.
Analyze APIs, system integrations, microservices architectures, and data exchange models across enterprise platforms.
Support AI, Intelligent Automation, and cloud-based transformation initiatives by defining business requirements and solution workflows.
Collaborate with development and testing teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
Facilitate Agile and SAFe practices while supporting project planning, requirement prioritization, and stakeholder alignment.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Parsippany, NJ. What You Need to Have to Be Considered
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise software development and digital transformation programs.
Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
Hands-on experience working in Agile and SAFe delivery environments, including creating user stories and use cases.
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO/TFS), Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, and business analysis documentation tools.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, API documentation, JSON/XML payloads, authentication methods, and integration requirements.
Experience analyzing microservices-based architectures, application integrations, and cloud-to-cloud or cloud-to-on-premise data flows.
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native application concepts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Experience working with Java, .NET applications, and technical documentation.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Experience with Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, and AI-driven business process solutions.
Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI use case identification.
Experience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Knowledge of JavaScript, JSON schema validation, data mapping, and business rule definition.
Project or program management experience.
Experience working with carrier integrations, certification teams, or external technology partners.
Ability to create prototypes, wireframes, and process models to facilitate stakeholder alignment.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
