Job Summary
The Technical Lead will design develop and modernize enterprise applications using Kubernetes Python ASP NET Core Web API and Net Core within the oil and gas domain. The role focuses on building secure cloud native services guiding peers on technical best practices and ensuring high quality deliveries in a hybrid work model during day shifts while collaborating with cross functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using ASP NET Core Web API and Net Core that support critical oil and gas business processes and improve operational efficiency
- Architect and maintain containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability reliability and optimized resource utilization for production workloads
- Develop robust backend components in Python and Net Core that enable secure data processing analytics and integration with domain specific systems used in oil and gas operations
- Collaborate with product owners business analysts and domain experts to translate complex oil and gas requirements into clear technical solutions and implementation roadmaps
- Review code thoroughly and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards security guidelines performance benchmarks and maintainability goals
- Optimize application performance by profiling services analyzing logs tuning queries and improving application design to meet stringent response time and throughput expectations
- Implement unit tests integration tests and automated test suites that validate core functionality and reduce defects across Kubernetes hosted services and APIs
- Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to design CI CD pipelines for Net Core and Python applications enabling faster reliable and repeatable deployments in hybrid environments
- Apply secure coding practices including authentication authorization input validation and encryption to protect sensitive oil and gas data and comply with corporate security policies
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including design specifications API contracts deployment guidelines and operational runbooks to support smooth handover and maintenance
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents by analyzing metrics logs and traces in Kubernetes environments and drive timely resolution while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Engage in regular technical discussions with peers to evaluate new frameworks tools and design patterns that can enhance application resilience scalability and maintainability
- Guide teammates by sharing practical insights on Kubernetes Python ASP NET Core Web API and Net Core usage helping the team adopt better practices without formal people management
Qualifications
- Possess extensive hands on experience in designing and developing services using ASP NET Core Web API and Net Core for enterprise grade applications
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python for building backend services automation scripts and data processing pipelines aligned with oil and gas use cases
- Show proven expertise in managing containerized workloads on Kubernetes including deployment configuration monitoring and troubleshooting of microservices
- Bring solid understanding of oil and gas industry workflows terminology and data models to design solutions that align with operational and safety requirements
- Exhibit practical experience with hybrid work environments and collaboration tools enabling effective coordination with distributed cross functional teams
- Display familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases used in enterprise systems with the ability to design schemas and queries that support high throughput services
- Apply knowledge of software engineering best practices including version control branching strategies code reviews and test automation in daily work
- Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing issues across application code infrastructure and data layers in production environments
- Communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders to explain design decisions tradeoffs and implementation plans that support business outcomes
- Adopt continuous learning mindset to stay current with updates in Kubernetes Python and Net Core ecosystems and apply relevant advancements to ongoing projects
