Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

This hybrid role is for a Lead Software Engineer with thirteen to fourteen years of experience in Core Java and Java based enterprise solutions NTAC & responsible for driving complex application development ensuring high performance and reliability and mentoring engineers while collaborating across teams to deliver secure scalable and maintainable software products that advance business goals and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Domain Experience-NDC Order

• Design scalable and maintainable Core Java applications that support critical business processes and deliver consistent value to customers through robust and secure solutions.
• Develop high quality Java components using modern frameworks and patterns that improve system reliability code readability and long term maintainability across multiple services.
• Review application architectures and suggest improvements that enhance performance resilience and resource efficiency while aligning with enterprise standards and technology guidelines.
• Analyze functional and nonfunctional requirements to translate them into detailed technical designs that reduce rework and enable predictable delivery timelines.
• Implement clean code practices automated unit tests and integration tests in Java that reduce defects improve coverage and support continuous integration pipelines.
• Collaborate with product partners and cross functional teams to clarify requirements manage technical dependencies and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business outcomes.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues in Core Java applications by performing detailed root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes that prevent recurrence and improve system stability.
• Optimize application performance by profiling Java services tuning garbage collection refining queries and improving concurrency handling to achieve better response times and throughput.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering peers by reviewing code sharing best practices and guiding them in solving complex problems that strengthen the overall capability of the team.
• Coordinate with quality and operations teams to define test strategies deployment plans and monitoring approaches that ensure smooth releases and predictable production behavior.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards by implementing secure coding practices input validation and proper error handling across all Java components.
• Document system designs key decisions and support procedures in a clear and structured manner that enables knowledge sharing and simplifies future enhancements.
• Continuously evaluate new Java libraries frameworks and tools that can improve developer productivity solution quality and long term platform evolution.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong background in Core Java with extensive experience in designing and implementing object oriented solutions for complex enterprise applications.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of collections concurrency exception handling memory management and other Core Java fundamentals applied in real world projects.
• Show hands on experience with Java based frameworks and build tools that support modular design dependency management and efficient development workflows.
• Exhibit proficiency in writing unit tests and integration tests for Java applications using industry standard testing frameworks to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Apply solid knowledge of relational databases data modeling and query optimization within Java applications to deliver performant and consistent data access layers.
• Display experience working in hybrid work environments and collaborating effectively through virtual tools while maintaining strong communication and delivery discipline.
• Highlight prior involvement in large scale projects where Java solutions were delivered on time and met high standards for quality resilience and user satisfaction.
