Job Summary
The Sr Architect will design and govern complex enterprise solutions that optimize collaboration workflows using Confluence and Jira for a global organization. The role focuses on scalable architecture integration with surrounding systems and process standardization in a hybrid work model. The Sr Architect will ensure secure reliable and efficient platforms that enhance productivity and deliver measurable business value.
Responsibilities
Domain Experience - Project management
- Design robust and scalable solution architectures that optimize enterprise collaboration processes using Confluence and Jira within a hybrid work environment
- Develop detailed architectural blueprints and standards that guide multi team delivery while ensuring alignment with organizational technology strategy and governance
- Coordinate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technical designs that improve efficiency and quality of work
- Optimize Jira project structures workflows and schemes to support multiple programs while maintaining consistency configuration hygiene and streamlined user experience
- Configure and enhance Confluence spaces templates and content structures to enable effective documentation knowledge sharing and standardized project practices
- Drive integration patterns between Confluence Jira and other enterprise platforms such as identity management reporting tools and development pipelines to enable end to end traceability
- Implement performance tuning guidelines monitoring practices and capacity planning for Confluence and Jira to ensure stable responsive and resilient platforms across regions
- Define and enforce best practices for configuration management change control and environment segregation to reduce operational risk and avoid unplanned service disruptions
- Guide teams on robust migration strategies for projects spaces and data including cleanup consolidation and archival approaches that maintain data integrity and auditability
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed access controls audit requirements and regulatory needs into Confluence and Jira architectures without impacting usability
- Prepare and maintain architecture documentation diagrams and decision records that provide clear transparency into current state and target state collaboration platforms
- Mentor implementation teams on architectural patterns reusable configurations and automation scripts that reduce manual work and improve consistency across environments
- Evaluate new features plugins and marketplace apps for Confluence and Jira by running pilots assessing value risk and compatibility to ensure technology investments deliver measurable outcomes
Qualifications
- Combine more than thirteen years of overall technology experience with strong expertise in architecting and scaling enterprise grade collaboration and workflow platforms
- Demonstrate extensive hands on experience configuring administering and optimizing both Jira and Confluence in complex multi project or multi business unit environments
- Apply strong understanding of agile methodologies project management practices and issue tracking concepts to design Jira structures that support predictable delivery
- Bring practical experience with scripting automation and integration tools that connect Confluence and Jira with development testing support and reporting ecosystems
- Use solid knowledge of performance engineering capacity planning and monitoring practices to keep collaboration platforms reliable and responsive for large user bases
- Exhibit familiarity with information security concepts including access control audit logging and regulatory constraints when designing safe and compliant solutions
- Communicate clearly with technical and non technical partners using structured documentation and presentations to gain alignment on architectural decisions and roadmaps
