Software Engineer

Job Summary

This hybrid Software Engineer role focuses on building robust enterprise applications using Oracle databases ADO.NET and Net Core to support complex business operations across a global organization. The engineer designs develops and optimizes secure scalable solutions that enhance data integrity and application performance contributing to efficient services that positively impact customers and communities through reliable digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Net Core and ADO.NET to support critical business processes and deliver reliable functionality that meets global stakeholder expectations.
• Implement clean and efficient server side logic that optimizes performance and resource utilization ensuring consistent response times for business applications across the hybrid work environment.
• Collaborate with product teams and business analysts to refine technical requirements into actionable solutions ensuring that each feature directly supports organizational goals and measurable outcomes.
• Integrate Oracle database objects and queries into application code using best practices maintaining data consistency and accuracy for reporting analytics and transactional workloads.
• Optimize Oracle schemas indexes and stored procedures to improve query performance reduce resource consumption and support smooth operation of day time production systems.
• Conduct thorough unit integration and regression testing across application layers proactively identifying defects and ensuring stable releases that minimize disruption to business users.
• Document application designs data flows and configuration details in a clear and structured manner to support maintainability onboarding and cross team collaboration in a hybrid work model.
• Review and refactor existing Net Core and ADO.NET code to improve readability modularity and adherence to internal engineering standards reducing long term maintenance effort.
• Implement secure coding practices in data access and business logic to safeguard sensitive information and comply with organizational policies and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with operations and support teams to troubleshoot production incidents analyze root causes and deliver sustainable fixes that improve system resilience and user satisfaction.
• Participate in backlog refinement and estimation activities by providing realistic technical input helping the team plan iterations that balance innovation risk and delivery commitments.
• Mentor peers through constructive code review feedback and knowledge sharing sessions focused on Oracle ADO.NET and Net Core patterns strengthening overall team capability and product quality.
• Engage in continuous learning and research on emerging Net technologies and database optimization techniques applying relevant findings to enhance the company engineering practices and societal impact of its digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Possess professional experience between four and seven years in software engineering with a strong focus on designing and building applications using Net Core and ADO.NET in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrate solid hands on expertise in Oracle database development including writing complex queries tuning performance and managing schema changes for high volume transactional systems.
• Exhibit proficiency in object oriented programming design patterns and modular architecture that supports maintainability testability and clear separation of concerns in application code.
• Show practical experience working in hybrid work models and agile delivery setups using modern collaboration tools to coordinate effectively with distributed product and engineering teams.
• Apply strong debugging and analytical skills to diagnose application issues across data logic and infrastructure layers using structured techniques to deliver timely and reliable resolutions.
• Display familiarity with secure coding principles authentication and authorization mechanisms and data protection practices relevant to enterprise Net and Oracle based solutions.
• Demonstrate effective communication capabilities in explaining technical concepts documenting solutions and aligning implementation decisions with business priorities and user needs.
