Job summary
This hybrid role for a senior architect focuses on designing and optimizing secure automation solutions that protect enterprise systems and data using advanced security platforms and scripting. Should possess strong hands on experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM. Experience with Python or any scripting language and with REST API integrations
Responsibilities
- Ability to develop automation scripts for incident response workflows
- Design scalable security architectures that integrate API protection endpoint detection and automated response using Palo Alto Cortex XDR XSOAR and XSIAM to strengthen enterprise wide security posture and reduce incident impact on business operations
- Develop robust API security models that define authentication authorization encryption and monitoring controls to protect sensitive data exchanged between internal and external services and ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Create Python based automation scripts and workflows that orchestrate data collection alert enrichment and ticket lifecycle actions across security platforms to accelerate incident triage and resolution
- Configure and optimize Palo Alto Cortex XDR policies analytic rules and response playbooks to identify advanced threats and suspicious behaviors while minimizing false positives and operational noise
- Architect XSOAR playbooks that connect multiple security tools and internal systems to deliver consistent and repeatable response actions that reduce manual effort and improve incident handling quality
- Design XSIAM data ingestion and correlation strategies that aggregate telemetry from diverse sources enabling unified visibility and actionable risk insights for security and technology teams
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to translate business objectives and risk appetite into security architecture requirements and solution roadmaps that align with enterprise strategy
- Document high level and low level design artifacts including data flows integration patterns and configuration guidelines to support implementation teams and ongoing operational maintenance
- Guide continuous improvement of detection and response use cases by reviewing incident trends platform metrics and feedback from analysts and engineers to refine rules and workflows
- Provide expert technical support during integration and deployment phases by reviewing configurations performing quality checks and advising teams on secure implementation practices within hybrid work environments
- Conduct knowledge sharing and mentoring sessions that help teammates understand security platform capabilities automation opportunities and architectural decisions that drive measurable risk reduction
- Evaluate emerging security features and platform enhancements across API security Python based automation and Palo Alto technologies to recommend incremental upgrades that deliver tangible value to the company and its clients
- Align daily architectural activities with the organization mission by designing secure and resilient solutions that protect customer information support regulatory expectations and enhance trust in digital services
Qualifications
- Strong hands on experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM
- Excellent expertise in Correlation rule(Use case) development
- Experience working with SIEM SOAR and Data Pipeline platforms
- Strong knowledge of threat detection and incident response
- Good understanding of network endpoint cloud and identity security concepts
- Proficiency in playbook development and security automation
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATTACK framework
- Solid understanding of SOC operations and response actions
Scripting and APIs
- Experience with Python or any scripting language
- Hands on experience with REST API integrations
- Ability to develop automation scripts for incident response workflows
- Display ability to work effectively in a hybrid model through clear written and verbal communication proactive collaboration and reliable documentation that keeps distributed teams aligned on architecture goals
- Utilize at least nine years of progressive security or architecture experience including several years focused on designing integrated solutions with security platforms and scripting preferably up to twelve years
- Demonstrate familiarity with industry frameworks and best practices for security architecture and incident management to ensure that all designs contribute to resilient and compliant enterprise environments
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Palo Alto Networks security certification and a recognized cybersecurity credential such as CISSP or equivalent
