Job Summary
This hybrid role is for a subject matter expert in accounting with strong experience in bank accounting and solid exposure to record to report accounting and finance and accounting. The person will work mainly during night shifts and will support complex reconciliations regulatory compliance and process improvement to enhance accuracy transparency and reliability of financial reporting for a multinational organization.
Responsibilities
Drive comprehensive bank accounting activities by preparing reviewing and validating daily postings and reconciliations to ensure accurate representation of cash and bank positions in the general ledger and sub ledgers.Perform detailed analysis of bank transactions including interest charges and fees to identify discrepancies and propose corrective entries that support reliable month end close and reporting.Coordinate end to end record to report processes by supporting journal entry preparation accruals and reclassifications that maintain compliance with internal policies and external standards.Execute thorough general ledger reconciliations for bank related accounts and key balance sheet items to detect anomalies promptly and maintain audit ready documentation for reviews.Provide expert guidance to operational and finance teams on complex accounting treatments for bank products and services such as corporate accounts foreign currency balances and inter company settlements.Monitor night shift activities for financial postings and data loads to identify issues early escalate appropriately and ensure that deadlines for closing and reporting are consistently met.Prepare clear variance analysis for bank and cash related accounts by comparing actuals with expectations and by explaining root causes that support management decision making.Develop and maintain standardized templates and checklists for bank reconciliations and record to report tasks that improve consistency reduce manual errors and support efficient onboarding of new team members.Collaborate with technology and process improvement teams to enhance automation of reconciliations and reporting flows which reduces operational risk and supports scalable finance operations.Support internal and external audit requests by supplying well organized schedules evidence and explanations that demonstrate robust control design and effective operation across bank accounting processes.Document detailed process notes desk procedures and control narratives for all assigned accounting tasks to create sustainable knowledge assets that support business continuity and regulatory readiness.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues in night shift workflows and proposing data driven solutions that strengthen reliability and timeliness of financial reporting for global stakeholders.Engage with cross functional partners to align accounting outcomes with broader organizational objectives thereby ensuring that accurate bank and ledger information supports ethical business conduct and positive impact on society.
Qualifications
Showcase strong technical skills in bank accounting with hands on experience managing reconciliations transaction postings and exception handling across diverse banking systems.Demonstrate practical exposure to record to report accounting including journal entry processing month end close activities and balance sheet substantiation in a corporate environment.Apply sound understanding of finance and accounting principles to interpret complex financial data and to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulatory expectations.Display proficiency with enterprise resource planning and accounting applications plus spreadsheet tools to manage large data sets and produce reliable analytical reports for stakeholders.Bring proven experience of four to eight years in accounting functions for multinational or large scale organizations working in hybrid and night shift models while adhering to robust governance frameworks.Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities that facilitate clear interaction with global teams and enable effective explanation of accounting outcomes to non finance partners.Maintain high attention to detail and professional skepticism when validating financial information to protect organizational trust and contribute to transparent reporting practices that support societal confidence in corporate disclosures.
Certifications Required
Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preferred with any advanced certification in banking or financial accounting being beneficial.
