Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript/AWS)
About the role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and enhancing modern full stack applications that deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business value. You will work closely with product owners, architects, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

In this role, you will:
- Develop and enhance full stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and scalable system designs.
- Drive CI/CD automation, code quality initiatives, security best practices, and performance optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while ensuring reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
Work model (Remote)
This role requires candidates to be based in the United States and available to collaborate across distributed teams and client schedules.

What you need to have to be considered
- Extensive professional experience developing full stack applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of modern software development principles and application architecture.
- Experience developing and maintaining cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Strong experience with Git/GitHub and modern version control practices.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Knowledge of software security best practices and application performance optimization.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $10,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
