ADAPT+ Sterling Engineer
Architect role in a global organization responsible for designing secure scalable and future ready data architectures across cloud platforms including GCP Azure and AWS with deep hands on expertise in data modelling big data solutions and data migration enabling business teams to unlock insights while operating in a hybrid work model during day shift with zero travel requirements.
Responsibilities
Design enterprise wide data architectures that integrate diverse data sources and analytics workloads across GCP Azure and AWS environments to support critical business decision making and long term scalability.Develop comprehensive data models for operational and analytical use cases that ensure data consistency integrity and optimal performance for large scale big data ecosystems.Guide end to end data migration initiatives from legacy platforms to modern cloud based data environments by defining migration patterns validation approaches and cutover strategies that minimize business disruption.Create detailed solution designs for big data platforms including storage processing and consumption layers to enable high volume high velocity data processing with predictable performance.Define standards for data security and privacy across structured and unstructured data assets by applying encryption access control and monitoring practices aligned to organizational policies and regulatory expectations.Collaborate with product owners business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate analytical and reporting requirements into scalable cloud data architectures that deliver measurable business value.Review implementation deliverables including data pipelines schemas and configuration settings to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines data governance practices and security controls.Optimize data pipelines and workflows across GCP Azure and AWS by selecting appropriate services tuning resource configurations and eliminating bottlenecks in data ingestion and processing paths.Establish reusable patterns and reference architectures for common data use cases such as customer analytics operational reporting and data sharing to accelerate future initiatives and reduce duplication.Develop documentation for architecture decisions data models data flows and security controls to provide clear guidance for engineering teams and ensure sustainable maintainability of solutions.Mentor team members in modern data architecture principles cloud native design patterns and best practices for data modelling data migration and big data engineering to uplift overall capability.Coordinate with information security and compliance stakeholders to assess data risks validate control effectiveness and incorporate feedback into continuous improvement of data architecture designs.Monitor deployed data solutions for performance reliability and cost efficiency using cloud platform tools and metrics while recommending adjustments that keep services aligned to business objectives.
Qualifications
Demonstrate extensive experience in designing complex data architectures spanning multiple cloud platforms with hands on delivery in GCP Azure and AWS environments.Exhibit strong expertise in conceptual logical and physical data modelling for transactional and analytical workloads using industry standard methodologies and tools.Show proven capability in managing large scale data migration programs including discovery mapping transformation testing and production cutover for heterogeneous data landscapes.Apply advanced knowledge of big data technologies and patterns to design solutions that handle large volumes diverse formats and real time or batch processing needs efficiently.Utilize deep understanding of cloud native data services across GCP Azure and AWS to select appropriate components for storage compute integration and analytics based on business requirements.Implement robust data security controls covering encryption identity and access management monitoring and data protection to safeguard sensitive information in all environments.Leverage experience in working within hybrid work models and cross functional teams to ensure effective collaboration communication and alignment on architecture decisions.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include professional level cloud architect or data engineer credentials from major cloud providers and formal training in data security or information privacy.
