About the role
As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting next-generation authentication capabilities for enterprise mobile applications. You will be a valued member of the mobile engineering team and work collaboratively with security, identity management, and platform engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly authentication solutions.

In this role, you will:
- Design and develop native iOS applications and authentication capabilities using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and the Apple Developer Ecosystem.
- Implement modern authentication technologies including FIDO2, WebAuthn, Passkeys, Biometrics, YubiKey, and TOTP-based authentication.
- Integrate enterprise mobile applications with the Ping Identity ecosystem, including PingFederate, PingOne, and PingID.
- Build and maintain secure integrations with REST APIs, OAuth services, certificate-based communication frameworks, and secure network transport mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and maintainable mobile application architectures using MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, and Modular Application Design.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring five days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Phoenix, Arizona.

What you need to have to be considered
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing FIDO2 and passwordless authentication solutions.
- Expert-level experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and the Apple Developer Ecosystem.
- Strong experience integrating REST APIs, OAuth APIs, JSON processing, certificate-based communication, and secure network transport.
- Experience designing and implementing mobile application architectures using MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, and Modular Application Design.
- Deep understanding of mobile security principles, authentication standards, and passwordless authentication technologies.
- Experience integrating authentication solutions with Ping Identity products, including PingFederate, PingOne, and PingID.
These will help you stand out
- Experience developing enterprise-grade mobile applications in highly regulated or security-focused environments.
- Expertise with platform authenticators, biometric authentication, and FIDO-compatible security keys.
- Strong understanding of modern authentication protocols and identity federation concepts.
- Experience optimizing authentication workflows for user experience, scalability, and security.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, security, and identity management teams.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
