About the role
As a Senior Consultant – Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, you will make an impact by leading the Finance workstream on a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) implementation, owning the design and delivery of the Finance module (General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, and Financial Reporting/Power BI). You will be a valued member of the Finance consulting team and work collaboratively with SCM, Payroll, and third-party tax/banking system stakeholders, and clients.
In this role, you will:
- Lead fit-gap and business process workshops, finalize solution design (FDD), and guide configuration of chart of accounts, financial dimensions, ledger setup, tax, and intercompany rules.
- Oversee integration of the Finance module with SCM, Payroll, and third-party tax/banking systems to ensure end-to-end process alignment.
- Manage a team of Finance consultants, review deliverables, drive client sign-off, and support UAT, cutover/go-live, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Act as the primary client-facing escalation point for the Finance track, ensuring alignment with statutory and tax requirements specific to Mexico.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, or Querétaro, Mexico. What you must have to be considered
- 10+ years of experience in D365 F&O/AX Finance implementations across multiple full lifecycle projects.
- Strong knowledge of Mexico statutory and tax requirements.
- Proven experience leading fit-gap workshops, solution design (FDD), and configuration of chart of accounts, financial dimensions, ledger setup, tax, and intercompany rules.
- Demonstrated team leadership and stakeholder management skills, including managing a team of Finance consultants and acting as a client-facing escalation point.
- D365 F&O certification (Finance Functional Consultant Associate/Expert).

- Experience overseeing integration with SCM, Payroll, and third-party tax/banking systems.
- Hands-on experience supporting UAT, cutover/go-live, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting and Power BI.
