This role focuses on designing and governing enterprise scale solutions using Adobe Experience Manager and AEM Forms for global clients in the high tech domain. The architect will shape digital experience platforms assure end to end solution integrity and guide teams toward robust secure and scalable implementations while aligning technology outcomes with business value and societal impact through improved customer experiences and streamlined digital services.
In This Role, You Will
- Solution Architecture: Architect, design, and deliver end-to-end AEM Sites and AEM Forms (Adaptive Forms, Document Services) solutions aligned with enterprise scalability, security, and performance standards.
- Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance, technical direction, and code reviews for local and offshore engineering teams. Enforce engineering best practices, design patterns, and continuous integration pipelines.
- System Integration: Design and maintain robust RESTful APIs, OSGi bundles, and Sling services connecting AEM platforms with downstream enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, and marketing automation platforms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Marketing teams, and Enterprise IT Architects to translate complex business objectives into scalable technical execution plans.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive technical refactoring, platform upgrades (AEM Cloud Service / AEM 6. 5), performance tuning, and automated testing initiatives to maintain web reliability.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in software development with 4+ years dedicated to AEM Sites and AEM Forms solution delivery.
- Proven experience serving in a technical lead or senior architectural capacity on enterprise web applications.
- Adobe Certified Expert / Master – AEM Developer or Architect certification.

- Technical Skills & Required Competencies.
- AEM Core Stack: Deep technical proficiency in Apache Sling, JCR, OSGi frameworks, HTL/Sightly, Core Components, and Dispatcher configurations.
- AEM Forms Expertise: Hands-on mastery of Adaptive Forms, Form Data Model (FDM), workflow design, and backend document processing services.
- Programming & Frameworks: Strong Core Java background, REST/GraphQL APIs, modern JavaScript (React/Angular/Vue), HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
DevOps & Tools: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Maven, SonarQube, and Adobe Cloud Manager.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between 160,000 - $180,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
