Lead Developer

Job Summary

Lead Developer role in a global organization responsible for designing implementing and optimizing enterprise applications on Azure and AWS cloud platforms using Java and Node JS. The role focuses on building secure scalable and resilient solutions that streamline business processes and enhance customer value with hybrid work model and day shift for optimal collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable cloud native applications on Azure and AWS using Java and Node JS that support critical business processes and deliver reliable outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement secure and resilient cloud architectures that optimize performance control operational risk and align with organizational standards for data protection and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed solution designs for cloud based services that improve efficiency reduce manual effort and support long term platform evolution.
• Collaborate with cross functional product and engineering teams in a hybrid working environment to refine backlog items estimate effort and ensure that developed features meet agreed acceptance criteria.
• Optimize application code database interactions and cloud resource usage to achieve cost effective operations while maintaining high availability and consistent response times for end users.
• Configure and integrate cloud services including storage messaging and compute offerings to deliver end to end solutions that support digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
• Apply best practices in API design error handling logging and observability to ensure that services can be monitored supported and improved over time with minimal disruption to consumers.
• Review and refactor existing Java and Node JS codebases to enhance maintainability reduce technical debt and enable faster delivery of new features that contribute to business growth.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to design test strategies support automated test development and validate cloud deployments so that releases are stable and ready for day shift operations.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines by defining build steps integrating tests and automating deployments to Azure and AWS environments that power critical applications.
• Document system designs operational procedures and technical decisions in a clear and accessible manner so that hybrid team members can support and extend solutions effectively without travel requirements.
• Guided by organizational goals propose enhancements to cloud solutions that improve customer experiences support sustainable resource usage and strengthen the company contribution to society through reliable digital services.
• Provide technical guidance to peers on complex cloud implementation topics so that the broader team can adopt consistent patterns and deliver high quality outcomes across projects.

Qualifications

• Possess five to seven years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on designing and implementing solutions using Java and Node JS in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrate hands on expertise in deploying and managing applications on Azure cloud including use of core compute storage networking and identity services for production workloads.
• Show advanced proficiency in AWS cloud services relevant to application hosting and integration with a track record of creating robust and scalable solutions for business applications.
• Exhibit solid understanding of general cloud computing concepts including elasticity resilience security and cost optimization as applied to multi cloud enterprise strategies.
• Apply practical knowledge of modern software engineering practices such as version control code review automated testing and continuous delivery to maintain consistent quality.
• Utilize experience in hybrid work models to collaborate effectively across distributed teams using digital tools and structured communication to keep development activities aligned and efficient.
• Preferably bring exposure to billing and revenue management domains with the ability to translate complex charging and invoicing rules into accurate and maintainable technical implementations.
• Communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to explain solution options articulate tradeoffs and ensure that implemented features address validated business needs.

Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include Azure Developer Associate and AWS Certified Developer with additional cloud or Java credentials considered beneficial.
