Cognizant Consulting is more than Cognizant's consulting practice—we're a global community of 6,000+ experts dedicated to helping clients reimagine their business. Blending our deep industry and technology advisory capability, we create innovative business solutions for Fortune 500 clients. And now, we're looking for our next colleague who'll join us in shaping the future of business. Could it be you?
About the role
As a PAT Specialist (Manager), you will make an impact by partnering with manufacturing SMEs, GMT, VMRD, Product Owners, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering and ZTD to drive discovery, define requirements, and ensure implementation readiness for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) use cases across our client's manufacturing network. You will be a valued member of the Life Sciences Consulting team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, VMRD, Regulatory and client Technology & Digital teams.
This is a hands-on, facilitative role that blends deep PAT subject-matter expertise with strong business analysis and delivery leadership, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, GMP-ready, and scalable.
In this role, you will:
- Lead structured discovery workshops with client SMEs to define scope, business value, and success measures for PAT use cases.
- Translate manufacturing needs into clear requirements and delivery-ready documentation (process, data, system, validation, and operating model needs).
- Evaluate PAT technology options (fit, feasibility, integration, and compliance), supporting vendor engagement and selection; obtain vendor quotes, build cost models, and develop ROI/financial return cases for prioritized PAT use cases.
- Build and maintain integrated PAT project timelines, explicitly incorporating GMP, validation, data integrity, and regulatory deliverables; coordinate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, VMRD, Regulatory and client's Technology & Digital teams to align on responsibilities, controls, and readiness.
- Support implementation partners through requirements clarification, risk/issue management, and milestone execution toward pilot and scale-up.
- Consistently demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead, which means operating with Personal Leadership (building trust, collaboration, and inclusion), Organizational Leadership (driving vision and purpose, demonstrating a strategic and enterprise mindset, and creating and communicating a bold direction that inspires purpose), and Business Leadership (exemplifying client focus, managing ambiguity with accountability and results, and operating with financial acumen).
