As a Salesforce Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and optimizing scalable Salesforce solutions that support business objectives. You will be a valued member of the Salesforce delivery team and work collaboratively with Admins, Business Analysts, QA, and other cross‑functional stakeholders.

In this role, you will:
  • Build and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
  • Align solutions with Salesforce best practices, scalability, and security standards.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code; perform unit testing and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing Salesforce implementations to improve performance and reliability.
Work model:
We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants in Canada.
Occasional travel to Waterloo/Toronto office required. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work‑life balance through our various wellbeing programs. What you need to have to be considered

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs and integration patterns.
  • Hands‑on experience with Sales Cloud, Analytics, and Skuid.
  • Exposure to Agentforce.

These will help you stand out

  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working with middleware and ETL tools for enterprise integrations.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions in partnership with cross‑functional teams.

Salary and Other Compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $66,000 to $86,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business‑related and job‑necessary qualifications.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance‑based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
