QA Automation Engineer
About the role
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of customer data, platform integrations, and marketing activation workflows. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, developers, business analysts, data teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and seamless customer experiences.
In this role, you will:
- Execute regression testing for platform releases, integrations, and customer-facing communications to ensure business continuity and system stability.
- Validate end-to-end customer data flows, audience segmentation, calculated attributes, and profile data to support personalization and campaign targeting.
- Perform integration and API testing, including field mapping verification, data readiness validation, and system interoperability checks.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for APIs, platform workflows, regression scenarios, and core business processes.
- Manage defect identification, triage, tracking, and validation while collaborating with development teams to support timely resolution.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, QA documentation, and testing status reports to support Agile delivery and release activities.
- Validate marketing journeys, triggered communications, automation workflows, and multi-channel customer engagement experiences.
- Support production releases through smoke testing, deployment validation, post-release monitoring, and quality assurance reviews.
- Evaluate platform enhancements and major releases to proactively identify risks and impacts to existing workflows, integrations, and communications.
Work model
This is a hybrid position based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. Only candidates located in Argentina will be considered. The working arrangements for this role may change based on business needs.
What you need to have to be considered
- 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience supporting CRM, marketing technology, customer data, or enterprise platform environments.
- Hands-on experience testing marketing automation platforms, including customer journeys, triggered communications, audience segmentation, and customer data workflows.
- Strong experience with API testing, integration testing, and validation of data movement across multiple systems.
- Experience using test management tools such as Xray, Zephyr, qTest, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Jira for defect management, user story validation, sprint support, and test execution tracking.
- Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques, including customer profile verification, calculated attributes, and data quality testing.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and regression test suites.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management processes, and software delivery best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), audience segmentation, data modeling, and customer insights solutions.
- Knowledge of middleware technologies, integration platforms, and enterprise API ecosystems.
- Experience with automation frameworks supporting web, API, CRM, or enterprise application testing.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and production support tools used for release validation.
- Experience supporting loyalty programs, customer engagement platforms, or large-scale communication ecosystems.
- Familiarity with deployment management tools and release testing processes.
- Experience using Confluence for documentation, test artifacts, and solution reviews.
- Salesforce certifications such as Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Platform App Builder, or related credentials.
