SAP FICO Senior Consultant

About the role

As a SAP FICO Senior Consultant, you will make an impact by leading the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Finance solutions, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN). You will be a valued member of the SAP Finance team and work collaboratively with Finance leaders, business stakeholders, enterprise architects, integration teams, and global delivery teams to support financial transformation initiatives and drive operational excellence.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and stabilization of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance (CFIN) solutions across complex enterprise environments.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP FICO and Central Finance solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Configure and support financial processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, FSCM, Material Ledger, and CO-PA.
• Manage Central Finance data replication, mappings, reconciliation activities, and integration between source and target systems.
• Monitor and resolve replication errors, mapping inconsistencies, and financial data issues to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and IT to ensure seamless integration between SAP modules and external systems.
• Lead workshops, requirements gathering sessions, solution reviews, testing activities, end-user training, and go-live support.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize financial processes and improve system performance.

What you need to have to be considered

• 10–12 years of experience in SAP FICO and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Proven hands-on experience with SAP Central Finance (CFIN), including at least one complete implementation lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Central Finance architecture, configuration, support, and stabilization activities.
• Deep functional knowledge of:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Controlling (CO)
  • CO-PA
  • Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA)
  • Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
  • Product Costing
  • FSCM
  • Material Ledger
• Experience with CFIN source and target system configuration, financial data replication, mapping maintenance, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong understanding of integrations between SAP FICO and key modules such as SD, MM, and PP.
• Experience supporting financial data migration from SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Ability to independently engage with business stakeholders, facilitate workshops, gather requirements, recommend solutions, and support decision-making processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced or fluent English with the ability to lead meetings and prepare technical and functional documentation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

These will help you stand out

• Experience delivering CFIN solutions in global organizations with multiple SAP and non-SAP source systems.
• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies such as SLT, AIF, SAP Integration Suite, and MDG.
• Experience integrating SAP Finance with data warehouse, analytics, and reporting platforms.
• Background in finance transformation or SAP S/4HANA migration programs.
• Experience working in global delivery models and mentoring junior consultants.
• Strong understanding of SAP best practices, governance frameworks, and financial controls.
• CA, ICWA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent finance-related qualification.

Certifications

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting preferred.
• SAP Central Finance (CFIN) certification or related SAP Finance certifications highly desirable.
