Job Summary:
The EBIP Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, enhancement, debugging, maintenance, testing, and deployment of data integration solutions across enterprise banking platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, enhancement, debugging, maintenance, and testing of Informatica PowerCenter workflows and ETL solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to developers and engineers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, design principles, delivery timelines, and quality expectations.
- Develop and optimize ETL logic, mappings, sessions, workflows, and data pipelines to support business-critical banking applications.
- Work on Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), including Cloud Data Integration, task flows, mappings, synchronization tasks, and integration with cloud and on-premise data sources.
- Analyze data flow mapping requirements and translate business and functional specifications into scalable technical solutions.
- Write, tune, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, Oracle database objects, and Unix shell scripts.
- Manage and monitor job scheduling through Control-M, including dependency management, failure analysis, restart procedures, and production support activities.
- Support code deployment using CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth migration across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams, business analysts, architects, testers, and stakeholders using JIRA and Confluence for Agile delivery tracking and documentation.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and drive continuous improvement in data integration processes.
Experience Required:
- Strong hands-on experience in Informatica PowerCenter with solid understanding of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) concepts and implementation patterns.
- Hands-on experience in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), including Cloud Data Integration, mappings, task flows, parameterization, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle databases, PL/SQL concepts, performance tuning, and data analysis.
- Working experience with Unix shell scripting for automation, file handling, job execution, validation, and operational support.
- Good understanding of source-to-target mapping, data flow mapping, data lineage, transformation rules, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with Control-M or similar enterprise job scheduling tools for batch processing and workflow orchestration.
- Experience in code deployment using CI/CD processes and tools, with knowledge of version control, release management, and environment migration.
- Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams and using JIRA and Confluence for backlog management, sprint tracking, documentation, and collaboration.
- Ability to review technical designs, guide developers, validate implementation approaches, and ensure engineering best practices.
- Detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Required experience: 8+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in ETL/data integration development and 2+ years in a lead engineer or technical lead role.
- Proven experience in leading technical delivery for ETL, data integration, or data engineering projects.
- Ability to mentor junior and mid-level developers, perform code reviews, and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Experience coordinating with architects, project managers, business stakeholders, testing teams, release teams, and production support teams.
- Strong ownership of delivery outcomes, including estimation, technical planning, risk identification, issue resolution, and status reporting.
- Ability to drive best practices in solution design, development standards, documentation, production readiness, and operational stability.
- Good understanding of banking domain processes, including customer data, account data, transactions, payments, regulatory reporting, risk, compliance, and operational data flows.
- Experience working with banking data platforms, enterprise integration systems, and data movement between upstream and downstream banking applications.
- Ability to understand business rules, data transformation requirements, data quality expectations, and reconciliation needs in a banking environment.
- Awareness of data privacy, security, auditability, and regulatory considerations relevant to banking systems and financial services platforms.
