About the role
The AI Senior Specialist Sales lead is a quota-carrying overlay seller who drives growth of Cognizant’s AI portfolio across the EMEA AI Market Unit. Partnering with account teams, the role identifies and qualifies AI opportunities, shapes compelling value propositions, and leads consultative sales cycles that convert AI demand into booked revenue. Sitting at the intersection of commercial selling, AI capability, and industry needs, this role turns opportunity spaces into closed AI deals that accelerate pipeline and bookings for the EMEA AI Market Unit.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven specialist seller who can blend consultative selling, business acumen, and AI literacy to win differentiated AI deals in the market.
In this role, you will
• Drive AI pipeline creation and revenue growth across assigned accounts, industries, and territories.
• Lead consultative sales cycles from opportunity qualification through contract closure.
• Develop compelling business cases, ROI models, and value propositions that connect AI innovation to measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with account teams, consulting, and pre-sales experts to shape differentiated AI-led solutions.
• Build executive-level relationships and position Cognizant as a trusted AI transformation partner.

What you need to have to be considered
• Significant direct experience in enterprise technology sales, solution sales, AI sales, or digital transformation sales.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to qualify, structure, negotiate, and close large-scale AI, digital, cloud, or transformation opportunities.
• Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business challenges into compelling AI-led solutions and measurable outcomes.
• Experience working collaboratively across sales, consulting, delivery, and partner ecosystems.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to develop business cases, ROI models, and value-driven proposals.
• Understanding of Generative AI, AI platforms, machine learning, and emerging AI market trends from a business and sales perspective.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience selling AI, Generative AI, Data & Analytics, Cloud, or Intelligent Automation solutions.
• Industry expertise within sectors such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Financial Services, Retail, Consumer Goods, or Supply Chain.
• Experience leading multi-stakeholder pursuits across global or regional accounts.
• Knowledge of AI ecosystems and hyperscaler partnerships.
• Familiarity with AI transformation programs and operating model modernization initiatives.
• Advanced consultative, value-based, or solution-selling certifications.
