About the Role
As a Principal Technical Architect – ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA), you will make an impact by leading the design, governance, and delivery of complex enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. You will be a valued member of the ServiceNow Consulting practice and work collaboratively with clients, solution architects, technical architects, business stakeholders, and consulting teams to drive innovation, delivery excellence, and business transformation. In this role, you will:
- Lead the architecture and design of enterprise ServiceNow solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and alignment with business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on platform architecture, modernization, integrations, automations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Establish and govern architectural standards, best practices, and technical quality across ServiceNow delivery engagements.
- Mentor architects, developers, and consulting teams while fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Support complex implementation programs, architecture reviews, solution governance, and delivery oversight.
- Partner with sales and leadership teams on solution strategy, estimations, Statements of Work (SOWs), and pre-sales activities.
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery methodologies, consulting practices, and technical standards.
- Contribute thought leadership through client engagement, industry events, webinars, blogs, and strategic innovation initiatives.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) certification.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications.
- Multiple ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications, including ITSM and Now Assist.
- 9+ years of experience leading enterprise technology delivery teams and cloud-based solution programs.
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow architecture and implementation experience.
- Experience delivering multiple full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations.
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, integrations, scripting, automation, governance, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.
These Will Help You Stand Out
- MBA or postgraduate degree.
- ITIL Foundation, PMP, Agile, Scrum, cloud, or related certifications.
- Experience leading global consulting teams and distributed delivery organizations.
- Expertise with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, NOW Experience, Service Portal, and Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integrations including REST, SAML, LDAP, web services, and identity management solutions.
- Experience contributing to thought leadership, industry speaking engagements, publications, or advisory boards.
- Proven success leading large-scale ServiceNow transformation and modernization initiatives.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $130,000 - $155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
