Responsibilities : -Lead comprehensive test strategy and planning activities across mainframe applications that rely on TSO ISPF VSAM and DB2 ensuring full coverage of functional integration and regression scenarios for complex enterprise releases. -Drive creation and optimization of detailed test cases and data sets using TSO ISPF and VSAM structures ensuring that all critical business transactions and data flows are validated against precise acceptance criteria. -Coordinate end to end test execution cycles by organizing resources aligning schedules in the hybrid work model and tracking progress so that releases meet agreed quality and timeline expectations. -Analyze defects and root causes across DB2 based components and related mainframe modules then recommend targeted remediation actions that reduce recurring issues and strengthen overall application stability. -Collaborate closely with development business analysis and operations teams to refine requirements and clarify test expectations ensuring that test outcomes directly support business value for warranty and service oriented processes. -Implement and maintain rigorous test documentation practices including plans cases execution logs and closure reports that provide clear traceability to requirements and regulatory or audit needs. -Apply risk based testing techniques to prioritize scenarios around high impact data entities in VSAM and DB2 ensuring that the most critical processes for warranty claims service contracts and parts management receive focused validation. -Mentor and guide junior testers on mainframe tools TSO ISPF VSAM and DB2 building team capability and encouraging consistent adoption of proven test design and execution practices. -Coordinate defect triage discussions by consolidating test evidence classifying severity and validating fixes ensuring that production readiness decisions are based on transparent quality indicators. -Review and improve test environments and data provisioning routines for mainframe systems so that testing cycles run smoothly reproducibly and with minimal dependency related delays in the hybrid work arrangement. -Engage with stakeholders to communicate test status key risks and quality metrics in a concise manner enabling informed decisions that protect customer experience and operational continuity. -Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned from major releases and translating them into updated test processes standards and checklists that elevate long term product reliability. -Ensure compliance with organizational quality frameworks and industry expectations by rigorously validating that mainframe changes do not negatively impact connected warranty service and field operations workflows. -Qualifications -Possess thirteen to fifteen years of overall experience in software testing with substantial focus on mainframe systems and demonstrated ownership of complex test delivery for enterprise scale applications. -Bring strong hands on proficiency in TSO ISPF usage for test design data manipulation and log analysis enabling thorough and efficient validation of mainframe program behavior. -Demonstrate solid working knowledge of VSAM file structures performance considerations and data integrity aspects allowing creation of meaningful test scenarios tied to critical business records. -Show advanced experience with DB2 including query design data verification and error analysis supporting robust validation of data centric functionality and reporting accuracy. -Offer practical exposure to warranty management technology service contracts and parts management technology or field service management technology translating domain understanding into realistic and high value test coverage. -Operate effectively in a hybrid work environment within day shift schedules displaying strong communication collaboration and self management skills that keep distributed testing activities aligned and efficient. -Apply structured test management and defect tracking practices using industry standard tools generating clear metrics and insights that support ongoing improvements in quality and delivery outcomes. 9.
