Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS Glue Amazon Redshift PySpark Python AWS Cloud Formation Databricks Databricks CLI Data Unity Catalogue other AWS services and Spark Optimization. This role involves designing and optimizing cloud-based solutions ensuring efficient data processing and storage.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based architectures using AWS services to support business objectives.
- Optimize Spark applications for performance and efficiency ensuring seamless data processing.
- Develop and maintain AWS Cloud Formation templates for infrastructure automation and management.
- Utilize Amazon RDS and Amazon Redshift for efficient data storage and retrieval ensuring data integrity.
- Monitor and manage cloud resources using AWS CloudWatch to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and manage AWS IAM policies to ensure secure access and compliance with organizational standards.
- Leverage Amazon DynamoDB for high-performance scalable database solutions.
- Develop ETL processes using AWS Glue to facilitate seamless data integration and transformation.
- Utilize Amazon S3 for secure and reliable data storage ensuring data availability and durability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of cloud solutions with business goals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and AWS advancements to drive innovation within the organization.
- Contribute to the companys mission by delivering efficient and sustainable cloud solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Possess strong expertise in Spark Optimization and AWS Cloud Formation essential for designing robust cloud solutions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Amazon RDS Redshift and DynamoDB crucial for managing and optimizing data storage.
- Exhibit experience in AWS CloudWatch and IAM necessary for monitoring and securing cloud environments.
- Have hands-on experience with AWS Glue ETL and Amazon S3 important for data integration and storage solutions.
- Show proficiency in Python and Apache Spark beneficial for developing and optimizing data processing applications.
- Experience in Smart Grid Operations is a plus providing valuable domain knowledge for relevant projects.
