About the role
As a .Net Architect you will make an impact by leading application architecture and enterprise solution design while remaining hands-on across the full development lifecycle. You will be a valued member of the Application Engineering team and work collaboratively with technical leads, product owners, and business stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
• Design and architect scalable, secure enterprise solutions using .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.
• Lead hands-on development of complex features across the full stack, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, including code reviews and design sessions.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and patterns to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Nova Scotia, Canada. What you need to have to be considered
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including application architecture and enterprise solution design.
• Strong hands-on development experience with .NET technologies.
• Proficiency in Angular for front-end development.
• Strong SQL skills, including database design and query optimization.
• Proven experience translating business requirements into scalable, well-architected technical solutions.
These will help you stand out
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and release management.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of Python.

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $100,000- $117,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
