Job Summary

This role is for a senior software engineer in a hybrid work model focused on designing and implementing advanced AI agent based applications using Java and SQL. The candidate will build scalable backend systems integrate intelligent automation and optimize data workflows to support critical business platforms and deliver reliable solutions that improve customer and stakeholder experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust backend services using Java that integrate AI agent capabilities to deliver scalable and maintainable enterprise applications that support core business functions
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and database structures to ensure high performance reliable data access and accurate analytics for critical decision making processes
  • Architect AI agent workflows that automate business processes and enhance user interactions by applying appropriate models tools and frameworks aligned with organizational standards
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model to gather requirements refine technical solutions and ensure that delivered systems align with business goals and compliance expectations
  • Provide end to end ownership of assigned features from design and coding through unit testing integration testing and deployment focusing on reliability and long term sustainability
  • Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks in Java services AI agent pipelines and SQL queries and applying tuning strategies that improve responsiveness and resource utilization
  • Implement secure coding practices for Java and database access patterns while ensuring that AI agent components handle data responsibly and support company policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Create detailed technical documentation for system designs data models API contracts and AI agent behavior to support maintainability onboarding and effective collaboration across distributed teams
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback that improves code quality promotes reuse and ensures consistent application of design patterns and engineering standards
  • Integrate monitoring and logging solutions into Java services and AI agent workflows to enable proactive issue detection efficient troubleshooting and continuous improvement of system stability
  • Engage in continuous learning of emerging AI agent technologies Java frameworks and database optimization techniques and apply relevant advancements to improve product capabilities and societal impact
  • Coordinate with product and data stakeholders to translate complex business problems into technical solutions using AI agents Java services and SQL data stores that drive measurable value for customers
  • Contribute to the company mission by building software that enables smarter automation better data driven insights and accessible digital experiences that positively impact communities and clients


Qualifications

  • Possess extensive hands on experience in building AI agent based applications including design integration and lifecycle management using industry standard platforms and tools
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java for backend development including multithreading collections and design patterns with a track record of delivering stable and efficient services
  • Show advanced capability in writing and tuning SQL for relational databases including query optimization indexing strategies and data modeling suitable for high volume transactional systems
  • Apply sound understanding of software engineering principles such as clean code modularity testability and continuous integration to maintain high quality solutions over time
  • Bring experience working in hybrid environments that combine remote and onsite collaboration using modern tooling for communication requirement management and agile delivery
  • Exhibit the ability to analyze complex technical problems in AI agent integrations Java services and database layers and propose clear solutions that balance performance reliability and maintainability
  • Display familiarity with secure development concepts covering authentication authorization data protection and responsible design of intelligent automation in line with organizational policies
  • Utilize strong communication and documentation skills to explain technical decisions share knowledge and support coordination among engineering product data and operations partners


Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer or equivalent and a recognized SQL or database certification
