Job Description – Team Leader, Pharmacovigilance (On paper- TL experience)
Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced Team Leader in Pharmacovigilance to manage a team of 18–20 life sciences graduates supporting a major pharmaceutical client. The role will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations, driving team performance, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance, and managing workflow to meet productivity and case prioritization requirements. The Team Leader will report to the Team Manager or Manager – Operations and will play a key role in people leadership, process excellence, and client delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, coach, and manage a team of 18–20 life sciences professionals delivering pharmacovigilance services for a major pharmaceutical client.
· Handle people management responsibilities including team engagement, attendance and leave management, performance management, mentoring, and development planning.
· Take accountability for the overall quality performance of the team and ensure delivery meets internal standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
· Monitor and drive workflow management including daily productivity, work allocation, case prioritization, and timely completion of deliverables.
· Track team performance through operational and quality metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
· Ensure compliance with established pharmacovigilance processes, SOPs, client requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
· Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, compliance, and team effectiveness.
· Support issue resolution, escalation management, and coordination with internal stakeholders and management to ensure smooth operations.
· Maintain effective communication with team members, peers, and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities, expectations, and performance.
