ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on BI professional with deep expertise in both Qlik and Power BI to design, build and govern end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions within a large-scale data migration programme. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data engineers to translate requirements into performant, scalable dashboards and semantic models, while ensuring data accuracy, security and best practices across the BI landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense / QlikView and Power BI (Desktop & Service).
· Architect semantic layers, data models and measures optimised for performance and scalability.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into BI solutions.
· Implement end-to-end BI workflows: data extraction, transformation, modelling and visualisation.
· Apply row-level security (RLS), workspace and app management, and access control best practices.
· Optimise data models, apply incremental refresh strategies and tune query performance.
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency and adherence to BI governance standards.
· Troubleshoot and continuously improve existing BI assets.
· Support user adoption through documentation, training and knowledge transfer.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Proven expertise in Qlik Sense and/or QlikView: data modelling, Qlik scripting, set analysis and app development.
· Strong Power BI skills: report and dashboard development, DAX measures, Power Query and Power BI Service.
· Data modelling: star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modelling and semantic layer design.
· Solid SQL skills and experience with relational and cloud data platforms.
· Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data transformation and preparation techniques.
· Experience with RLS, workspace management and BI access control.
· Strong data visualisation skills: visual design, usability and storytelling.
· Performance optimisation: data model tuning, query optimisation and incremental refresh.
Nice to have:
· Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses as a BI data source.
· BFSI domain background.
· Qlik or Microsoft Power BI certification.
