About the Role
As an Appian Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and implementing scalable Appian-based business process solutions that drive digital transformation. You will be a valued member of the Enterprise Application Services team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional delivery teams.
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and development of Appian applications using SAIL, Process Modeler, Rules, Expressions, and integrations
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver workshops, demos, and solution walkthroughs
Drive end-to-end Appian implementation including data modeling, document management, and Knowledge Center setup
Develop and manage integrations using REST APIs and backend systems
Lead and mentor offshore development teams while ensuring delivery quality and timelines
What you need to have to be considered
6+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on Appian development experience
Strong expertise in Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, Rules, Expressions, and Data Management (XSDs, SQL)
Proven experience in implementing Appian solutions across the full development lifecycle
Experience building integrations using REST APIs
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience leading requirement workshops and demos
Experience leading offshore development teams
Strong database knowledge and querying skills
These will help you stand out
Appian certification(s)
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
Exposure to enterprise system integrations
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience with large-scale digital transformation programs

Remote, must be based in the US

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $102,000 – 116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
