Job Title: Senior .NET Software Development Lead
About the role
As a Senior .NET Software Development Lead, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, high-quality SaaS solutions within a complex, data-driven environment. You will be a valued member of a highly collaborative engineering team, working closely with cross-functional partners to build innovative products that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade applications using modern engineering practices
- Drive architectural decisions, including platform selection, coding standards, and implementation strategies
- Contribute across the full Agile lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-quality outcomes
Work model
Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring attendance at a Cognizant office in Buenos Aires (CABA).
We are also open to fully remote arrangements when necessary.
What you need to have to be considered
- 10+ years of software development experience across multiple technologies with strong adaptability to new tools
- 5+ years of experience in global trade, logistics, customs, or supply chain-related systems
- Strong proficiency in .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET) and Angular for frontend development
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with API documentation tools (Swagger, Postman)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native development (AWS and/or GCP) and both SQL and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
- Proven experience leading architecture and applying design patterns and N-tier architecture principles
- Solid understanding of application security, debugging, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
- Experience working in Agile environments with iterative and evolving requirements
- Advanced English level (B2 upper-intermediate or higher)
These will help you stand out
- Experience with observability tools such as DataDog (APM, RUM)
- Familiarity with AI-first or agentic development approaches
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, OOP)
- Ability to build clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Experience with analytics, reporting, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Growth mindset with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and customer outcomes
