About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPCM (Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management Cloud) SME to lead profitability and cost management transformation initiatives for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on expertise in Oracle EPCMCS, strong cost accounting knowledge, and a proven ability to design, configure, and implement complex allocation models that help organizations improve profitability visibility and operational decision-making.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead requirement gathering workshops, fit-gap assessments, and solution design sessions for Oracle EPCM implementations.
  • Design and implement end-to-end profitability and cost allocation models using Oracle Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service (EPCMCS).
  • Configure allocation rules, calculation logic, assumptions, drivers, and model frameworks to support business requirements.
  • Manage POV structures, dimensions, metadata, and application configurations within EPCMCS.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, including system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to define cost pools, cost objects, allocation methodologies, and business drivers.
  • Configure and maintain data integration processes using Data Management/FDMEE for loading data and metadata into EPCMCS.
  • Integrate EPCMCS with other Oracle EPM Cloud solutions such as Planning, Consolidation, and Narrative Reporting.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot calculation issues, allocation logic discrepancies, and application performance concerns.
  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and financial accuracy reviews throughout implementation and production support phases.
  • Create functional and technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration guides, and operating procedures.
  • Deliver end-user training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops to business and support teams.
  • Partner with technical teams to automate recurring processes and data refresh activities where applicable.
  • Provide recommendations for process optimization and enhanced profitability analysis capabilities.
  • Support production environments through issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with Oracle EPM Cloud enhancements and industry best practices to drive innovation and value for clients.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience implementing Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service (PCMCS/EPCMCS).
  • At least 2 full lifecycle Oracle EPCMCS implementations with demonstrable project ownership and delivery experience.
  • Hands-on experience configuring allocation rules, calculation logic, driver-based allocations, and profitability models.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and management accounting concepts, including cost pools, cost objects, allocation drivers, and profitability analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Data Management/FDMEE for data and metadata integration.
  • Experience integrating EPCMCS with Oracle EPM Cloud applications such as Planning, Consolidation, or Narrative Reporting.
  • Ability to discuss prior implementations, client industries, and allocation models designed and deployed.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

These Will Help You Stand Out

  • Oracle EPM Cloud certification.
  • Experience with EPM Automate and scripting for process automation and scheduled data refreshes.
  • Prior experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, Financial Services, Insurance, or Retail.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Planning, FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, or Narrative Reporting solutions.
  • Experience working in consulting environments and leading client-facing workshops.
  • Understanding of profitability management frameworks and advanced financial modeling techniques.
  • Experience supporting large-scale finance transformation initiatives.
  • Strong presentation and training delivery skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $106,200 - $143,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
