Key Responsibilities
· Review and moderate content in native Japanese language across various platforms (to support market-specific content moderation and cultural accuracy)
· Apply content policies while considering native Japanese linguistic nuances, slang, and cultural context
· Identify harmful, misleading, or sensitive content specific to the niche Japanese speaking market
· Ensure compliance with platform guidelines and legal standards
· Stay updated on Japanese internet trends, viral topics, and digital behavior
· Handle sensitive or explicit content professionally and objectively
· Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and productivity
· This level of expertise is not substitutable with non-native or intermediate speakers
Technical skills
· It is mandatory to be fully independent in writing, reading and speaking in the native Japanese language and possesses strong understanding of Japanese culture, social norms, humor, slang, and regional context
· Ability to interpret meaning beyond direct translation, including tone, intent, and implicit messaging
· Capability to make accurate judgment calls on culturally sensitive content
· This level of expertise is not substitutable with non-native or intermediate speakers
· Online community experience and exposure
· Experience with confidential information collection and management (preferable)
Soft Skills
· Strong attention to detail and quality
· Neutral and unbiased mindset when reviewing diverse content
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
· Good analytical and research skills
· Adaptable and quick learner
· Strong emotional resilience when handling sensitive material
· Good time management and task prioritization.
Other Requirements
· Willing to work in a 24 by 7 shift environment
· Comfortable working with explicit and sensitive content
· Able to manage high-pressure scenarios with professionalism
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
