Sr. Java Developer (Remote)

About the role

As a Senior Java Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications using modern Java technologies and microservices architectures. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 8/11/17+ and Spring Boot.
• Build and support scalable microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs across multiple applications and services.
• Create automation tools, scripts, and supporting services using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and architectural discussions.
• Ensure applications meet security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability standards.

What you need to have to be considered

• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
• Hands-on experience designing and building microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or service development.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

These will help you stand out

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum development environments.
• Exposure to cloud-native architecture and container orchestration solutions.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
